“I’d rather drowned in misery than gone to New South Wales.”
I just read the lyrics to an old Australian folk song and this line made me smirk, even though I know there was every genuine reason for the composer to write and sing these words with complete sincerity and sorrow. I’m horrible.
Also, afterwards I found out Bob Dylan covered the song on his album Good as I Been to You. I found the full version but YouTube hates me:

and apart from that I can only find this. I really want to hear the full version. I just found the album on Ebay for $11 so I think that’s a massive excuse to buy it eeeee.
